It just gives me more time for the animations to play, and helps keep me out of stamina problems when my character has a full set of skeletons and decides it's proper to use his stupid 4-7 damage dagger attack. While the oasis affects my summons, it also affects the enemies just as equally. This slows enemy attack speed slow enough that the 2 second death animation delay of my skeletons isn't likely to cause me to go into stamina cooldown and leave me with no summons up while enemies are beating on me. I use deserts to create oasis on one side of my map, and forests with river on the other to raise my attack speed to about 250%.
